Thank you for making these videos. I am a novice painter but now I am equipped with the knowledge to do a great job vs. good or decent.

Chris, this is a great How To video for me because I’m a perfectionist and these cut-in’s are killers for me! The scoring of the wall with that 5 in 1 tool sounds like a winner. I will definitely use that on my next renovation. Also, your’re brush suggestions where something I never knew matter with the thickness of the paint. Thanks for that one too.
Do you have a video on repairing small holes in the walls as part of your wall preparation? Curious if your process is similar to mine.

instead of holding the brush with thumb and index when rolling, is there a magnetic thing sold on the market to hold the brush against the bucket since the ferrule is metal?

Love your videos. Can’t stand angled sashes and it is actually a little easier for me to get into corners with a flat like a purdy pro extra swan 3 in. Plus I can cut a ceiling line as long as both arms can reach with one dip. I also usually choose a brush based on the texture of the walls rather than the viscosity of the paint. Nylon is great for smooth walls.

Of 3 Americans on here showing how to cut in ceilings and walls none have managed to do so and leave a neat clean edge!

What is it? Poor quality accepted in the US, or is it just poor quality of people showing videos of how to?

I think perhaps it’s a matter of: “Those who can, do. Those who can’t, teach.”

Thank you Thank you for telling us these techniques…. something that might seem like common sense to a professional painter is something someone like me would never know to do. Watching and listening to you paint has given me the confidence to paint both my bathrooms and bedroom. Also I love the little verses you put in . ⛪✝

Thanks for your videos. They’re a great help to me!

I do a lot of preparing condos for sale and bringing the colors back to neutral tones. Do you prep your walls? In a room, like the one you were painting in this video, do you wipe down the walls with a wet rag or duster?

Maybe you have another video on this, but I have not seen it yet. Thanks again

  20. Leo Taylor says:

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. NKJV

    That is a “Hebrew chaism”
